Q&A with CJ Sellers
When did you first realize you had abilities?
When I was a kid I had unusual experiences, precognitive dreams, visions, simply
"knowing" things that I shouldn't have known. I was born a Highly Sensitive Person. For
me it was normal. I figured everyone had those things happen to them. I didn't really see
this as a gift until I got much older and began using it to guide and help people.
How do you deal with skepticticism?
I respect healthy skepticism because I'm as skeptical as most people are. The thing is, I
needed validation for myself in order to believe this wasn't just a fluke, that it wasn't
merely my imagination, that I wasn't just getting lucky with information. I wanted to know
what the rational explination was for this, if there was one, which so far there doesn't seem
to be. It took me many readings and much proof before I felt confident to publicly call this
thing I do
mediumship.
Do you consider yourself a spiritualist?
I follow much of the same ethic and belief system that spiritualists do, however, I'm not a
member of a spiritualist church. I think that's all relative anyway, spiritual is spiritual.
Who do you look up to, who's inspired you the most?
I would say I look up to all those truly spiritual and gifted persons who put integrity above
personal gain. These loving souls are my heroes.
What do you find most people want out of a reading?
Most people want to know that their deceased loved ones are ok and that they're still with
them in spirit. This is where validation becomes so important in a reading. The other most
frequently asked questions concern guidance.
What advice do you have for aspiring psychic medium readers?
That's hard to put in a nutshell. A few things come to mind right away, like knowing why
you want to be a psychic reader in the first place. The intention you begin with will become
the result, so having a loving and unselfish intent is absolutely necessary. To expect not
only to develop the psychic or medium gift but also to expect to develop and grow as a
person. It is as much an inner journey as an outer one and at times it can be a difficult
path, full of lessons. I always use the biblical quote "To whom much is given much more is
required", to be a good reader will require some effort, to be a great reader will challenge
you on every level of your being. Definitely pray for spiritual guidance and be open to it,
even if a situation isn't exactly what you think you want it may be what you need.  Seek
and maintain balance in your life, too much of anything is never good. And lastly be
patient with the process, allow yourself to grow at a pace that's right for you.
What do you most hope to accomplish in your life?
First and foremost to have been a good mother to my children. To touch people in a
positive way, to make a little difference in someone else's life. To get to other side and
have no regrets.
